FAQ's

Do I need therapy if I have not been diagnosed with a specific mental health diagnosis?

We believe that you are the expert of you. If you feel like you need or would like some support then please get in touch. We believe everyone is deserving of unconditional acceptance, understanding and empathy. Therapy can help you better understand what is going on for you, better undertsand your emotions, feelings and responses and help build a more loving and compassionate relationship with Self.

How long does a therapy session last for and how long does the process usually take?

A therapy hour is 50 minutes. It is important you try to be on time so as to ensure you get the full 50 minutes as we are unable to extend the session beyond your 50 minutes.

In terms of how long the therapeutic process takes, this is unique to each individual. We truly believe that it is when you feel seen, supported and safe in the therapeutic relationship, that change occurs. Therefore, we tend to focus on more longer term therapy – however we do offer 6 to 12 sessions for those clients who have a specific issue they would like to address.

Do I have to come weekly?

We offer weekly one to one sessions. We recommend weekly sessions so as to ensure you feel connected, safe and supported throughout your journey. On occassion, we can offer biweekly sessions. We also offer online for international clients or those that are not in close proximity to the clinic.

Do you offer online as well as face to face?

We offer online sessions via encrypted services such as Zoom. These are held weekly, at the same time each week.

Do you share my information with anyone like my GP or family if I am under 18?

If you contact us then we keep all enquiries, even if you are under 18, completely confidential. The only time that we would ever feel a need to contact somebody or legally obligated would be if we thought that you are at risk to yourself or somebody else. Thus rarely happens – we are able to connect with people via email or schedule a time to talk over the phone and we can move forwards from there.
